Wholesale Internet access and network services provider, Vibe Communications, has become the first wholesaler to resell Access4’s BroadSoft-based unified communications services, and Acces4 will use Vibe’s transmission services to access the New Zealand market.
Access4 said it would provide its full range of unified communications solutions to Vibe and its resellers in New Zealand, including hosted PBX, unified communications as a service (UCaaS) and contact centre as a service (CCaaS). Vibe said it was looking to offer wholesalers an end-to-end solution including hosted PBX and UCaaS, complementing its existing voice business.
Vibe CTO and founder, Davey Goode, said the company had long wanted to offer BroadSoft services to its customers but had been deterred by the heavy investment in capital and time required. “Access4’s model has removed these challenges and allowed us to go to market quickly,” he said. “We looked at multiple hosted PBX offerings but nothing did what BroadSoft would do. The other solutions we tried fell short on functionality or were not easy to deliver to our customers.”
Access4 sales and marketing director, Ruy Franco, said Vibe would give his company a footprint for its services into New Zealand and had enabled it to extend its BroadSoft presence in the country using Vibe’s bandwidth on demand service, Intellipath.
“We will use Vibe’s voice carriage in NZ, which will allow us to switch calls locally in NZ for NZ customers and more importantly makes Australia and NZ one platform for Access,” he said. “All Access4 call packs will now include calls to NZ fixed land lines and mobiles as part of their included calls, and customers in Australia can buy a call pack from Australia that will also provide local calls in NZ for NZ offices.”
