MYOB teams with Agrimap to offer farm management software

MYOB and Agrimap say they are in the process of combining the relevant parts of their respective software solutions and are looking to launch a range of integrated farm management solutions soon

MYOB has teamed up with New Zealand farm management software developer Agrimap to combined functional components of their respective software products and offer “the benefits of modern cloud-based business management solutions with on-farm data and process management services.”

MYOB and Agrimap say they are in the process of combining the relevant parts of their respective software solutions and are looking to launch a range of integrated farm management solutions soon. They also plan joint marketing activities and attendance at several events on the rural calendar, the first one being Central Districts Field days on 16-18 March.

Their move follows a September 2016 announcement from The New Zealand Technology Industry Association (NZTech) that it had formed an alliance with Precision Agriculture Association NZ to help New Zealand’s agriculture sector make the most of technology.

Computerworld reported NZTech chief executive, Graeme Muller, saying that New Zealand had an enormous opportunity to use technology as a means to support the economic growth of its agriculture sector and become a world leader in a fast growing agritech market.

Agrimap CEO Andy Lowe said the joint offering would combine Agrimap’s planning and forecasting function with payroll, timesheets and record management with allow farmers to plan and forecast and “ensure they have the right tools for team engagement, clear job management processes and to keep on the right side of Inland Revenue.”

He added: "Agrimap allows famers to log-in wherever they are to access all their farm records, compliance, job management and more. It’s a map-based technology that allows farmers to see exactly what’s happening on their land.

MYOB New Zealand general manager, Carolyn Luey, said: "On-farm technology can help farmers manage stock levels, pastures, inputs, workforce, compliance and cashflow. Bringing that all together with the farmer’s own knowledge and experience is hugely powerful.”
