Australia’s Charles Sturt University has opted for Auckland-based Unimarket’s cloud-based eProcurement system designed for educational institutions, to help streamline and automate its spend management and procurement processes.
Charles Sturt University has more than 40,000 students and 15 campuses and locations throughout New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory.
According to Unimarket its software was selected through a competitive bid process for its “comprehensive capabilities, ease of use, and ability to integrate with the university’s existing finance system.”
Adrian Whiting CSU’s director, strategic procurement, said: “The University performed extensive due diligence in reviewing the various solutions and providers available in the market, and ultimately unanimously selected Unimarket for its easy-to-use, unified platform of procurement tools.”
He added: “In our time working with the system, we have been very pleased with the capabilities of Unimarket’s technology, flexibility of the integration with our Banner finance system, and excellent customer service.”
Unimarket says it provided a full-suite solution and seamlessly connected this with CSU’s existing ERP using its proprietary middleware and unique community-sourced integration.
“CSU uses the Banner enterprise resource planning system (ERP) for finance management, but needed a solution for their procure-to-pay processes, from sourcing to contract management to procurement workflow and invoicing automation.”
