Wipster’s video review software integrated with Brightcove

Wellington-based Wipster, the developer of software that enables teams to collaboratively review video content, has announced integration with Brightcove, which offers a suite of products and services designed to reduce the cost and complexity of distributing, measuring and monetising video across devices.

Wipster says the integration will revolutionise workflow for marketing teams by giving users of both platforms “the freedom of one-click publishing direct from Wipster to Brightcove, allowing for seamless cloud delivery of video content.”

According to Wipster CEO and cofounder, Rollo Wenlock, the integrations solves a major problem for marketing teams: scaling video production and delivery and removing bottlenecks. “Wipster removes one of the most pervasive bottlenecks in video production — the review and approval process,” he said.

"Combined with the publishing and analytics power of Brightcove, there is now a seamless way for organisations to rapidly publish video content, measure response, and iterate. The end result is that you’re able to create more video with the same resources, and better achieve your goals.”

Mark Stanton, vice president of Brightcove AUSNZ, said the integration of Wipster and Brightcove would allow marketers to collaborate throughout the video production process, enabling them to make better content, faster and with one click upload their content to the Brightcove video platform.

Wipster claims to have customers in more than 100 countries and says users gain a 70 percent increase in editing and review efficiency from its platform, which includes features such as contextual commenting (writing frame-accurate feedback directly on the video), encrypted sign-off (only the assigned stakeholder can approve), and automatic delivery of hi-res files when the work is approved.

The integration of Wipster and Brightcove was announced at Brightcove’s Play event in Boston USA along with a number of other developments by Brightcove, the most important of which was a new video compression technology, Context Aware Encoding, claimed to reduce the total cost of ownership and improve video quality.

According to Brightcove it uses machine learning and deep video analysis to achieve optimum quality for each video with the fewer, reducing storage and delivery bandwidth requirements by up to 50 percent.
