Integral, Axon joining gathers momentum

The amalgamation of Integral and Axon is moving at speed following the acquisition, with Integral’s Auckland staff moving to Axon’s premises today.

Integral staff in Christchurch have already moved to Axon’s site there.

“The sooner we’re working together as one, the better,” says Integral executive chairman David Sutherland.

The companies have already closed business as a joint entity, have combined active directories and are on the same network, he says.

Sutherland says Integral is still “in discovery” regarding duplicated roles between the companies. He says there have been two resignations as a result of people thinking their roles were duplicated or that they weren’t suited for a new role.

“We expect by the time it’s over we’ll have a net increase in staff,” says Sutherland. “There will be a handful [of staff] who move on but it’s about success and growth as opposed to slash and burn.”

The companies are continuing to recruit new staff in technical roles, and have added a Quality Programme Manager role for internal customer service training and measurement.

A project, expected to take three months, is underway to work on brand and values, but the Integral/Axon names will remain in the interim, Sutherland says.
