Revell takes leave from Zintel

Zintel managing director Peter Revell has been granted a six-month leave of absence “to focus on what are understood to be short-term health issues”, according to a statement on the NZX this morning. Revell’s leave is effective from March 19, but he has resigned as a director immediately, and Zintel director Paul Connell has assumed the role of executive director.

Revell is a longtime figure in the New Zealand IT industry, having held the role of services director at Computerland, and then solutions delivery GM at Gen-i, before taking up the Zintel CEO role in 2006.

Before joining Computerland in 2003, he was Novell’s New Zealand general manager.
