Bizo buy adds managed services to Orcon's offering

Services for SMEs will be enhanced in deal, Orcon says

Orcon has announced the acquisition of Auckland-based online technology services provider Bizo. The acquisition adds managed services to the telco’s portfolio.

According to Orcon’s CEO Scott Bartlett, the deal “will provide a sound financial base to grow Bizo’s services”.

“Bizo has a great reputation for providing services designed to deliver real business benefits to customers. The business has been specifically set up to meet the unique needs of the SME market,” Bartlett says.

Bizo specialises in technology for commerce via online services. Bartlett believes that Orcon SME and corporate customers now have a “one-stop shop” with access to “top-of-the-range, reliable and well-priced managed services within an integrated telecommunications company”.

All of Bizo’s 22 staff will continue to operate out of the company’s Nelson Street offices, in the Auckland CBD and Bartlett says it’s “business as usual” for Bizo clients.

The companies did not disclose the price of the acquisition.
