Holmes departs Optimation

Brother of company founder Neil Butler joins as MD

Rhoda Holmes has left Optimation, a year after joining as CEO.

In a press release, Optimation says her role as CEO is no longer required in the light of the appointment of Martin Butler as managing director.

He is the brother of company owner Neil Butler. He has previously held senior roles at Telecom, including general manager mobile.

Holmes took up the chief executive’s role after the company engaged in an international search for a CEO. She was previously general manager for Gen-i Australasia and held senior roles at Telecom before that.

Holmes finished at Optimation yesterday and says she is "not sure" what her next move will be. She plans to stay in the IT industry.

"I've been in the industry for 25 years. I'm very sad to have left Optimation, as it is a great company," she says.

In the meantime, Holmes will continue training for an upcoming triathlon. She says she could not comment on why the CEO role was dissolved.

Neil Butler was contacted by Reseller News for comment but has not returned calls.
