Agile opens Aussie operation

Kiwi company targets enterprise communications market

New Zealand communications software developer Agile has established operations in Sydney, Australia, targeting IP telephony, call centre and unified communications business.

Former Avaya South Pacific chief operating officer Peter Dillon has been appointed to lead the Australian division.

Agile was established in 1999 and worked for New Zealand organisations such as IAG, Fonterra and Vodafone. The company recently sold its call centre software business to global provider Avaya.

It continues to develop the Contact Centre Express (CCE) software for Avaya.

"The company already has a strong track record with leading Australian companies as we have already implemented trans-Tasman contracts for organisations such as Fisher & Paykel and Baycorp,” Dillon says.

Agile has more than 100 staff in New Zealand.
