MetService seeks new CIO

Role sought after Russell Turner departs

The MetService is advertising for a new CIO, following the resignation of Russell Turner last year to take up the same role at Land Information New Zealand.

Turner’s appointment at Linz is effective this year.

The advertisement for the CIO role, on the Seek website, requires candidates to have: “Strong leadership and management experience in a highly technical ICT environment; Solid experience in an Agile applications development environment; The ability to think innovatively and creatively to find and drive new and ground-breaking solutions; and an understanding of how to integrate IT people into the wider business”. Applications close on January 27.

MetService is also seeking a new chief executive, after the departure of Paul Reid to head up technology at NZ Post.
