HP in 7-year Pepsi deal

BT in on contract as well

HP has signed a seven-year deal with PepsiCo to provide data centre management services for the soda and snack maker’s international division.

PepsiCo has also signed a seven-year deal with UK telecommunications giant BT, a strategic partner of HP’s since 2004, to provide network services.

The terms of the deals were not disclosed.

As part of its deal HP will standardise PepsiCo’s storage and server architecture to create an environment that will be more flexible and open to change to meet business demands. The HP-managed infrastructure will support PepsiCo’s business in more than 60 countries, HP says.

BT, meanwhile, will provide data, LAN, security conferencing, remote access and internet services to support the new IT infrastructure.
