Eight Sky channels on Vodafone 3G

Vodafone and Sky TV have teamed up for an eight-channel service available on the GSM operator's 3G handsets. The service will launch today, February 1.

Called Sky Mobile TV, the service costs $2.50 for a weekly subscription, with no further charges. The channels are Sky Sport News, Sky News, CNN, MTV, The Cartoon Network, Sky Movies, E! and The Discovery Channel

Computerworld understands there is no limit to how many channels customers can watch, or how long for.

CNN is also included, and streamed live throughout the day. As per Vodafone's previous Live service offerings, Sky Mobile TV will not be available on its 3G data cards.
