Covad Communications and MCI have reached an agreement whereby MCI will offer Covad's DSL service for its Neighbourhood HiSpeed and Business Complete HiSpeed services.

This wholesale agreement enables MCI to bundle its local and long-distance voice services with Covad's DSL Internet service. MCI will have access to Covad's network of 1,800 central offices and 40 million homes and businesses in 35 states.

Covad and MCI will split access to the residential line, in accordance with FCC Unbundled Network Element-Platform policy.

In addition to MCI, Covad has similar arrangements with AT&T, VarTec and Z-Tel.
