Free online healthcare for a year is to be provided to rural Mokau by www.doctorglobal.com.
New Plymouth District council nominated the 900-strong King Country community in a Dr Global adopt-a-town competition.
Residents who have no computer can still access free online consultations through the Mokau Medical centre, says Dr Global CEO Tom Mulholland.
The New Plymouth-based doctor-owned organisation is now working with health providers in the area in offering their services.
