Infogeni wants to go global. CEO, Mike Sheedy, says the Wellington-based company, which provides software to the aged-care sector, is intent on following in the footsteps of cloud-based accounting software provider Xero.

“We are a Kiwi-owned IT company which intends to become a multi- million dollar global entity based in Wellington, boosting not only the capital’s economy, but New Zealand’s as well,” Sheedy said.

Infogeni currently has 40 per cent of the domestic home care market, according to the company.

The company this morning announced a merger with Secure Intelligence Limited, which provides data visualisation and intelligence and security analysis solutions.

The merged entity will trade under the name Infogeni, and Sheedy said that the company intended to double its headcount of 14 within a year.

“When we look around internationally we see no one else is doing what we are building – functionality that appears to be unique and will seriously reduce costs for our customers looking after the elderly still living in their homes,” Sheedy said

“We’re very keen for our merged Wellington companies to exploit what we see as a huge gap in the global market.”

Infogeni is currently raising capital to help with overseas expansion.
