Unisys wins global service contract

Initially, Unisys will provide services for X-IO customers in the Asia Pacific and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions.

Unisys has won a three-year contract to provide global IT support services for customers of X-IO, a provider of information storage systems.

Under the terms of the contract, Unisys engineers can handle installations and on-site maintenance for X-IO in more than 100 countries, including New Zealand.

According to the company, the contract includes provision of break-fix and professional services to new and existing customers for all of X-IO’s storage systems.

“X-IO products are highly reliable and rarely need servicing,” said Ronald George, VP of global services at X-IO.

“Unisys’ appointment provides an extra insurance policy for our customers. Picking a single service partner with so much expertise adds further depth to our support services.”

“We are excited that X-IO has chosen Unisys as its support partner,” said Ron Frankenfield, president, Unisys global managed services. “By providing comprehensive, timely service, we can free X-IO to concentrate on its rapid growth strategy and enable its enterprise customers to benefit consistently from X-IO’s world-class storage technology.”

Initially, Unisys will provide services for X-IO customers in the Asia Pacific and EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regions, with services in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean to follow.
