The Warehouse launches shopping app

Created in partnership with Sush Mobile, the app integrates smartphone technology with The Warehouse’s existing online infrastructure.

The Warehouse has launched a mobile app, Your Warehouse, to enable customers to shop from the store through their mobile devices.

Created in partnership with Sush Mobile, the app integrates smart phone technology with The Warehouse’s existing online infrastructure.

The Warehouse Group’s CEO, Mark Powell explained “As a customer led business, one of The Warehouse Group’s key strategies is to become New Zealand’s leading multichannel retailer.

“It's exciting to be able to offer our customers this revolutionary shopping tool and as the country’s largest non-food retailer with over 50,000 products online, the new app means users will have New Zealand’s largest catalogue of products at their fingertips,” he said.

According to the company, Your Warehouse incorporates a nation-wide barcode scanner. This means, that if consumers find an identical product in any other retail store, they can cross check The Warehouse’s price for the product with the scanner.

Other functions of the app include the ability to view and shop special offers and weekly deals, a cross-channel wishlist so users can save their favourite products and receive push notifications when they go on sale, store locator and details, and a single login across the app and desktop site.

Sush Mobile MD, Sheenu Chawla said: “We’re delighted to partner with The Warehouse on such an innovative app, which represents a huge leap forward in mCommerce for New Zealand.

“Deployment on this scale, with such a large existing infrastructure makes ‘Your Warehouse’ a breakthrough technology and the first of its kind in New Zealand, with functionality that will take the consumer mobile experience to the next leve."

The app is available to download on Android and iOS.
