Microsoft New Zealand has announced that the next major updates to its flagship ERP solution, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, is now available in New Zealand.

Speaking at the Auckland launch in front of Computerworld NZ, Ricky Gangsted-Rasmussen, Director of Product Marketing, Microsoft Dymanics AX 2012 R3, says the release is designed to help businesses run an “agile operation”.

“Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 delivers new warehouse and transportation management capabilities to provide customers with real-time end-to-end insights into supply-chain execution,” he says.

“New Lifecyle Services available with this release help organisations improve the predicability of Microsoft Dynamics AX implementations by simplifying and standardising processes, and bringing innovative and integrated experiences for serviceability and support.”

According to Kier Garrett, Senior Sales Manager, Dynamics, Microsoft New Zealand, technology has transformed the way businesses, and consumers, engage and interact with one another.

As a result, Garrett claims Dynamics can help Kiwi businesses to enable new mobile scenarios, take strategic advantage of the cloud and have deeper engagements with their customers.

“This update introduces a new end-to-end zoos and services framework, allowing businesses to develop and distribute modern apps for specific scenarios and mobile devices that can easily and securely connect with Microsoft Dynamics AX,” Garrett adds.

“Adding to the growing number of mobile apps, the update will include a new app for shop floor operators that lets them report on production jobs with touch-enabled Windows devices.”
