“When we started Xero back in 2006, I never would have guessed that just eight years later we’d be welcoming employee number 1000 to our team.”

Looking back on eight years of Xero existence, founder and CEO Rod Drury welcomed Senior Project Manager Diana Wells to the team.

Based in Auckland, Wells becomes Xero #1000, representing a seismic shift for the now global company.

From a start-up in a small apartment to a global business with 370,000 customers around the world, Xero now generates over $US100m Annualised Revenue.

“We’re proud to be celebrating this milestone and welcoming Xero #1000 in Diana,” Drury adds.

“We love creating new jobs and especially seeing women in technology as over 40% of our staff globally are female.”

Wells will be responsible for leading the implementation of the Customer First Program based on the salesforce.com platform.

Coming from a technology background with experience in the US, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, Wells says she is excited to be joining the Xero team.
