600,000 and counting as Kiwi businesses register domains

InternetNZ has reported that the 600,000th .nz domain name was registered last week with the milestone passed just before 5pm, Wednesday 28th January 2015.

Recent growth has been supported by the launch of shorter .nz domain names allowing for more choice for Kiwi business owners, for example: anyname.nz rather than anyname.co.nz.

InternetNZ Chief Executive, Jordan Carter is pleased that .nz continues to be one of the domain names of choice for New Zealanders in the face of growing competition in the market.

“The Internet has brought the world to our doorstep and despite the almost limitless choices that people now have, recent research shows that Kiwis continue to overwhelmingly see .nz as the most trust-worthy domain space," he says.
