Business protection a high priority as Wynyard Group meets new security credentials

"ISO 27001 certification confirms that our policies comply with the most stringent international standards."

Wynyard Group has today received global security certifications and compliance verifications complying with the ISO 27001 standard.

According to the Kiwi security firm, these credentials demonstrate the company's "commitment to delivering a secure ICT environment" for Wynyard’s customers.

"Though we have always placed a high priority on safeguarding information, the ISO 27001 certification confirms that our policies comply with the most stringent international standards," says Michael Wallmannsberger, CISO, Wynyard Group.

Wallmannsberger says the latest ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard is the recognised international benchmark for information security management, outlining how to implement and uphold an independently assessed and certified information security management system (ISMS).

Having undergone an extensive two-stage audit process of internal procedures, organisations that achieve ISO 27001 demonstrate to customers, suppliers and stakeholders commitment and compliance to global best practice for information security.

By obtaining the ISO 27001 certification, Wallmannsberger believes Wynyard has "further strengthened its commitment" to providing customers with the necessary levels of assurance regarding the way information is managed and secured.

At present, Wynyard’s information security management system includes policies around access control, incident management, business continuity, physical security, human resources and technical procedures.

“By benchmarking our policies and procedures against this independent, internationally recognised Information Security Management System Standard, our customers and partners can be assured of resilience and have peace of mind," Wallmannsberger adds.

“With this certification, Wynyard has shown a systematic approach to managing critical, confidential, and sensitive information to meet modern standards for information security and to impart confidence in customers."
