Kiwi firm targets Aussie market following double senior leadership hire

New Zealand tech consulting company Optimation embarks on significant expansion plans.

New Zealand tech consulting company Optimation has embarked on significant expansion plans, appointing Craig Reid as its new General Manager Consulting and Sophia Hobman as national Test Practice Manager.

The appointments bring additional senior leadership capacity and focus at a time of significant growth for the Optimation Group, as the business has expanded in Australia through OGA and developed innovation-led ventures in the Asian and North American markets.

Responsible for leading Optimation’s rapidly growing New Zealand consulting business, Reid has more than twenty years’ experience in business and IT leadership in New Zealand, Australia and Asia, previously building large consulting teams for Deloitte and PWC.

Reid specialises in delivering transformational change programs to improve business performance, including business model and organisational design, organisational change, and business process re-engineering initiatives.

As Optimation’s new Test Practice Manager, Hobman heads a growing nationwide team delivering end-to-end test services and test consultancy to customers including Housing New Zealand, Vodafone, and the Ministry of Education.

With an extensive background in test leadership over the past 15 years, Hobman has led successful test teams at companies including Cap Gemini NZ, HP New Zealand, and Unisys (Global Outsourcing).
