Xero rains down in Africa as 500,000th global customer milestone nears

"We are very excited to be Xero’s first African Platinum Partner."

New Zealand accounting firm Xero has announced that BDO South Africa has achieved Xero Platinum Partner status, further expanding the company's global Platinum Partner network.

In becoming Xero’s first African Platinum Partner, BDO South Africa now has more than 500 customers on Xero, while also accessing training and promotional materials to help grow and revolutionise their practice.

Xero NZ and Global Managing Director, Victoria Crone, congratulated BDO South Africa on achieving Platinum Partner with Xero.

“BDO is a great partner to Xero in New Zealand and our other main markets," she says.

"I’m really excited by the opportunity this expanded relationship will bring, and I look forward to hearing about the growth potential that Xero delivers for South African small businesses.

"And the speed at which small businesses globally are adopting Xero shows they want accounting software that is beautiful, easy to use, and can be operated from anywhere, on any device."

At present, Crone says Xero is now used by more than 475,000 customers in over 180 countries globally.

“We are very excited to be Xero’s first African Platinum Partner,” adds Lionel Higgo, Partner at BDO South Africa and BDO South Africa’s Xero Project Lead.

"We have seen first-hand, the results that Xero produces for clients globally and are keen to share in those successes with our own clients locally in South Africa as well as Namibia, Botswana and Zambia where our offices there are also using Xero."
