WPC 2015 - VMob builds on Microsoft success with Azure alliance

“This alliance is a great step forward for us at VMob."

Mobile personalisation platform provider VMob has announced a new alliance with Microsoft Azure Mobile Engagement, building on the company’s ongoing relationship with Redmond.

According to the growing Kiwi firm, the alliance will give existing Azure Mobile Engagement customers an easy way to add on VMob’s solution, giving them the full functionality of VMob’s personalisation platform on top of Azure Mobile Engagement.

For VMob, the alliance with Azure means their solution will become more integrated and is the next step in maximising use of Microsoft’s constantly evolving Azure services.

Tighter integration with Azure enhances VMob’s solution agility and means VMob is able to deploy new services more quickly for new and existing customers.

“This alliance is a great step forward for us at VMob; it‘s a welcome endorsement of our technology by Microsoft and also delivers additional functionality and flexibility to our own platform,” says Scott Bradley, CEO and founder, VMob.

“We’re taking the great technical tools the Azure Mobile Engagement team have been doing and creating a solution specifically for retailers which can be deployed out of the box.”

Bradley says Azure Mobile Engagement offers a range of enhancements to VMob’s existing segmentation and push messaging functionality.

With the VMob platform running overtop of Azure Mobile Engagement, marketers have an even greater ability to create engaging personalised campaigns.

“We are very happy to integrate our value-added Mobile Engagement services into VMob,” adds Laurent Lathieyre, Azure Mobile Engagement, Microsoft.

“This alliance gives Azure more functionality for retailers and brands with a physical presence - it’s a great way to extend the use of our services for new and existing customers.”
