Newly launched software performance company Wild Strait has appointed Shane Ross to the position of General Manager.

Based in both Wellington and Auckland, the company delivers software performance services across New Zealand.

Ross has previously worked with Wild Strait parent company Equinox IT as National Sales Manager and most recently has been the New Zealand Key Account Manager for multinational business intelligence and data management company SAS.

Prior to those roles, Ross held roles in IT consulting and sales with various local and multinational companies including IBM.

“Six weeks ago we launched the Wild Strait company and it is an incredibly exciting growth opportunity for us,” says Roger Dalgleish, Managing Director, Equinox IT.

“It’s a specialist software performance company that combines both our leading performance testing services and our Wild Strait Performance Intelligence product.

“To accelerate the business we wanted a General Manager who understood performance testing and business intelligence and had a unique combination of skills - service delivery management, product management, international business development and product sales.

“We are delighted to have Shane re-join the broader Equinox IT family as Wild Strait General Manager.

“Shane knows our performance testing services well, has specialist business intelligence product sales experience and ticks the other boxes we are looking for to successfully grow the Wild Strait business.”

According to Ross, organisations are increasingly dependent on software, and smart services and products that help ensure software performs will continue to be in high demand.

“It’s exciting to see the Equinox IT team launch Wild Strait and look to join other New Zealand technology companies who have taken their innovative products to the world,” he adds.

“I’m looking forward to helping grow Wild Strait into another New Zealand success story.”
