​Spotlight on analytics as SAS conference hits Wellington

Business analytics software firm SAS is holding its annual SAS Users of New Zealand (SUNZ) conference in Wellington next month, marking 35 years of industry insight.

Set for Tuesday, 9 February 2016 at Wellington’s Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, the day long event will delve deep into the art of data, based around the theme of changing the perception of analytics.

Offering a range of technical and business sessions, the conference features speakers from New Zealand Rugby, #NZLEAD, BNZ, ANZ, Kiwibank, TEC, Massey University, University of Queensland.

In addition, CIO New Zealand and Computerworld New Zealand will present The Purposeful Data Play: How to Extract Meaning for Business - a keynote panel featuring David Habershon, CIO, MSD, Carmen Casagranda, CIO, Cigna, Claire Govier, Head of Transformation, Strategy and Architecture, Kiwibank and David Bowie, Managing Director, SAS.

“Speakers to the theme of this year’s conference, ‘How to change perceptions with analytics’, will deliver real life, best practice examples of how analytics can unlock the full value of data assets in business and the public sector,” says Geoff Beynon, General Manager, SAS New Zealand.
