ASX-listed NZ-based WiFi connectivity provider, Tomizone (ASX: TOM), has appointed Thai digital signage operator EIBIZ as its reseller in Thailand. EIBIZ will use Tomizone services to communicate via smart devices, in addition to its digital signs.

According to Tomizone “The compatibility between the two solutions highlights the growth in the Internet of Things (IoT) phenomenon and the requirement for venues to meaningfully engage their visitors, tenants and consumers using technology.”

It added: “The partnership between Tomizone and EIBIZ capitalises on the synergistic capabilities of their products, enabling joint opportunities for increased revenue generation and market share. To begin marketing, EIBIZ and Tomizone will be jointly holding a demonstration day to existing EIBIZ clients.”

EIBIZ provides interactive media and signage services across a number of verticals including retail, transport, finance and government. It has a number of Thai properties and retailers as clients, including Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, Mega Bangna Shopping Centre, and King Power Travel Retail.

Tomizone offers WiFi connectivity to accommodation, transportation and hubs, retail, metro and campus, and hospitality verticals, and says it is "expanding into new verticals where digital engagement becomes increasingly critical for venues.”

Tomizone said the agreement was part of its strategy to expand across the Asia-Pacific region through partnerships with organisations that have regional leadership and significant enterprise client lists.
