Pyrios to offer Avaya cloud UC and contact centre services

Avaya has made its cloud based unified communications and contact centre services available in New Zealand, through long time-partner, communications technology specialist Pyrios. Avaya said it will be targeting the mid-market.

Pyrios CEO Robyn O’Reilly said the move would allow Pyrios to build a new business based on a network of channel partners, and expand its existing as-a-service portfolio.  The company is a member of the Aura Alliance, a global network of Avaya business partners.

Pyrios announced in August 2016 that it would offer Interactive Intelligence’s cloud contact centre services in New Zealand. Interactive Intelligence has since been acquired by Genesys. In April 2017 Spark launched Genesys cloud contact centre services, delivered from AWS.

Avaya says the mid market represents one third of the New Zealand GDP despite accounting for only 6.6 percent of all businesses, and claims this market sector is frequently overlooked because vendors either dedicate resources to large enterprise customers, or provide “rigid, watered-down solutions that do not deliver the flexibility and scalability customers require.”

In contract, Avaya says its ‘Powered by Avaya’ software-as-a-service (SaaS) stack features “customisable and flexible UC and CC designed specifically for the midmarket,” and deployable on-premises, in a hybrid cloud setup or within a fully-hosted environment.

Avaya says it is working closely with Pyrios to enable channel partners to package ‘Powered by Avaya’ as a complete cloud solution. “The initiative will leverage Pyrios’ long-standing expertise in systems integration to build innovative solutions that future-proof communications experiences,” Avaya said.

“Partners will be able to value-add their own microservices to deliver end-to-end solutions for their customers.”

It said the new offerings would add to its existing portfolio of cloud services comprising the Avaya Oceania, Equinox and Breeze platforms supporting artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, big data and other emerging technologies.
