Victoria University has implemented TechnologyOne’s cloud-based Student Management Software for its vocational education (TAFE) division, VU Polytechnic.
TechnologyOne says the system will improve compliance reporting, reduce costs and enhance the student experience.
The University signed a seven-year deal in 2018 for its Polytechnic, extending its existing 20-year relationship with TechnologyOne.
VU vice president of engagement and resources, Professor Richard Constantine, said the implementation would enable the university to claim millions of dollars per annum and, by more accurately managing and reporting student information, enable the university to focus on operational success.
"We're using TechnologyOne’s software to make us quicker and more nimble, and to automate and standardise parts of VU Polytechnic’s student management processes," he said.
"The SaaS platform provides scalability and flexibility, giving us a commercially viable platform that will take us into the future."
TechnologyOne’s chief operating officer, Stuart MacDonald, said the company had recently signed similar deals with New South Wales’ Macquarie University, Western Australia’s Curtin University and South Australia’s Flinders University, providing a single platform to “streamline administration, ensure profitability and manage the entire student lifecycle."
