Australian competition watchdog takes Apple to court over 'error 53' claims

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has commenced proceedings in the Federal Court against Apple Australia and its U.S.-based parent company, Apple, for allegedly making “false, misleading, or deceptive representations” about consumers’ rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Telstra switches on mobile coverage in Sydney rail tunnels

Telstra commuters travelling through the City Circle tunnels in Sydney will now have new mobile network coverage, allowing them to stay connected as they ride the rails through the city. Telstra network engineering director, Anthony Goonan, said consumers will no longer have to deal with losing Internet service or having calls drop out when entering the City Circle.
