Hamilton-based Livestock Improvement (LIC) has signed a five-year deal with infrastructure provider Revera for utility computing.

Axon wins 1,500-seat deal at PGG Wrightson
PGG Wrightson has awarded a three-year contract for desktop technology procurement, imaging and support for its 1500-seat network to Axon following an RFP.
Axon will provide an end-to-end supply chain that includes lifecycle management, enhanced warranty and post-warranty support, and guaranteed service levels for users.

Certus buy creates IBM powerhouse
Certus is buying UtilityAP to create New Zealand’s largest specialist IBM software and service partner, with 50 staff throughout the country.
The combined company will operate under the Certus organisational structure though the 18 UtilityAP staff will continue trading as UtilityAP while the two companies amalgamate and organise their regional presence.
Solnet boosts revenue 15%
Solnet’s revenue for the year to the end of June increased more than 15% to $23 million.
The company does not announce after-tax figures but managing director Mark Botherway says profit increased in line with revenue growth.
Vadacom, Brash Technology merge
Open source PBX provider Vadacom has merged with Brash Technology.
Vadacom was established in 2005 to sell the US-developed Asterisk PBX-based system in New Zealand, VadaXchange. Brash was operating as deVOX, as an importer of voice mail systems, for the past six years.
Oxygen expects to beat the bank for FY’08
SAP specialist Oxygen will post a record financial year at the end of June, says chief executive Mike Smith.
“We’ve beaten our revenue target by 12% and our profit target by 10%,” he says.
Revera takes on Christchurch with Addington base
Revera is opening a hosting facility in Christchurch, leasing building space at the Addington Business Park.

A proposed restructuring plan to save Manabars Technologies has collapsed following the threat of legal action, and the company has been placed into liquidation by the High Court.
CodeBlue signs deals in Wellington and Christchurch
Services company CodeBlue has gone national by signing licensing agreements with companies in Wellington and Christchurch, to complement its Auckland and Hamilton offices.
Infopower, in Wellington, and itSynergy, in Christchurch, will now trade under the CodeBlue banner.
