  • Auckland DHB looks to the cloud for better integration

    Cloud computing can be used to link existing recruitment and retention-related processes and systems with other aspects of the business, according to Don Fulford, recruitment & retention manager at Auckland District Health Board.

  • Auckland and Northland DHBs to merge: Army CFO appointed CEO

    The three district health boards in Auckland and the Northland district health board are merging into one organisation, to be known as healthAlliance New Zealand Ltd.
    The merger covers healthAlliance, the shared services organisation for the Waitemata and Counties Manukau District Health Boards; the Auckland District Health Board; and the Northland District Health Board. The three entities all have CIOs.
    It is not yet known whether a CIO will be appointed for the new organisation, or what the reporting lines will be for the information services teams.

    Former Designer Technology general manager Joanne Bos has joined the Auckland District Health Board as ICT manager. In taking on an in-house role in the health sector, Bos has returned to a field she last worked in several years ago, as IS manager of healthAlliance, the shared services body of the Waitemata and Counties-Manukau District Health Boards.
