The New Zealand finals for Microsoft’s 2016 Imagine Cup took place at the Auckland Town Hall last week, in true Dragon’s Den style. As one of the world’s most prestigious student technology competition, the global competition brings together student innovators from all over the world.
After delivering presentations on their proposals to judging panels of their respective categories, the top 14 competing finalists for Microsoft NZ’s Imagine Cup gathered at the University of Auckland’s Business School yesterday afternoon to hear the announcement of the winners. Now in its 12th year, the Microsoft Imagine Cup sees around 16,900 students in 11,700 teams submitting 7,500 projects worldwide. This year’s competition in New Zealand received 73 entries from across the country.
