When the newly founded Infinity Group searched for the obvious Internet domain name it found, not surprisingly that infinity.co.nz was taken.
What was surprising was that that address brought up a Web site called Planet-K, based in Dallas, Texas.
This belongs to a woman called Katie – no surname evident – who supplies a wealth of personal detail about herself and friends, and a CV, and seems primarily concerned to show off her Web design skills.
The Infinity Group emailed Katie, who said she had no idea about infinity.co.nz or how references to it had been re-directed to her site.
Infinity Group tracked down the real owner of the domain and paid an undisclosed sum for it.
