Auckland-based Brocker Technology Group has created a new application hosting division.

Headed by former Compaq business development manager, Bruce Busbridge, the division aims to leverage Brocker's ASP capabilities.

The company says the new division is developing markets for application hosting , data security/data vaulting, remote network management and other related products and services delivered over the Internet.

"The solution set is designed for organisations that want to increase their availability and reduce the cost and risk of putting their business online," says Busbridge.

Meanwhile Brocker's has received an integration certification for its B2B e-commerce product, Supercession, from US-based Peoplesoft.

Designed for medium to large enterprises, Supercession enables a company to build an e-commerce Web site for selling products and processing transactions, creating and maintaining an online catalogue, and allowing customers access to a wide range of information such as inventory, shipping an account status.

Richard McLean, Brocker's new group general manager of application development, says the company is PeopleSoft's first Alliance partner in Australasia.
