UB Networks has announced that it has moved its Asia-Pacific headquarters from Melbourne, Australia, to Hong Kong as part of its restructuring of regional operations. Hong Kong will also serve as the head office for the Santa Clara, California-based company's newly formed Greater China sales unit.
The Hong Kong Asia-Pacific office will be headed by Peter Ciceri, UB Networks' recently appointed vice-president and general manager of Asia- Pacic operations, the company says. Ciceri, who previously served as Hewlett-Packard's Asia-Pacific general manager of reseller sales and marketing, will report directly to Chris Brennan, the company's president and chief operating officer.
The reorganisation of the company's regional operations is aimed at capitalizing on the rapidly growing demand for networking equipment in Asia, UB says in a statement.
