Kordia, which has exclusive New Zealand and Australian distribution rights to security technology developed by Wellington based RedShield, has hired staff in Australia to market RedShield security services and is looking for channel partners.
Kordia says its North Island fibre backhaul network is now ready to provide customer services at 100Gbps, following an upgrade the completion of which it announced in September.

Kordia’s IT security services subsidiary, Aura InfoSec, has appointed cyber security and information warfare expert Paul W Poteete to the position of principal consultant.
Kordia Group has reported a 2016 net profit after tax of $12.3 million, a 33 percent increase on FY15 and 85 percent ($5.6m) above its target. Revenue for the year was $240.7m, down three percent.
Kordia — the company rolling out the Sigfox low-powered wide area IoT network fo Thinxtra, the Australia and New Zealand licensee — says it has now reached coverage of 50 percent of the New Zealand population, following commissioning of a new site in Hamilton.
