TelstraClear calls on BearingPoint

BearingPoint may need up to 50 more staff

BearingPoint has been selected by TelstraClear as its in-sourced application development partner. The agreement is for two years, renewable for two further years.

The deal is understood to be one of the largest BearingPoint has won in New Zealand. It was awarded the contract after a competitive tendering and selection process conducted over the past two months.

Initially, a team of BearingPoint business, systems and process analysts will augment TelstraClear’s own development team. They will focus on capturing and maintaining TelstraClear's specific domain knowledge and increasing end-to-end development capacity.

BearingPoint New Zealand managing director Keith Robbins says the company has worked with TelstraClear regularly since 2000.

"We have significant expertise in telecommunications billing and customer care,” he says. “This partnership with TelstraClear will also enable us to further build the New Zealand team and position us as BearingPoint's billing and customer care development center for the Asia–Pacific region."

BearingPoint is understood to be looking for up to 50 staff to service the contract.

Internationally, BearingPoint is one of the largest business consulting, systems integration and managed services companies.
