The recording industry can get its hands on the name of an Internet user who downloaded more than 600 songs in a single day, a federal judge has ruled.
The music and technology industries, which have often clashed in the past over how to limit the sharing of songs over the internet, have agreed on at least one thing: the US Congress should keep its hands off the issue.
